I may have commented earlier, but I can't quite remember, and I'm definitely not scrolling back up through hundreds of old posts to find out.
At any rate, if I DID already comment, I probably said something like, "Hardly touched my 3DS in years, and probably won't play it much after Metroid." But I have to say, that was based on thinking about my old, original launch 3DS. I received my New 3DS XL in the mail yesterday, and I have to admit, it is INSANELY more comfortable than the original models! Even the buttons themselves are softer! It's clearly been designed with longer play in mind, and aside from not fitting in my pocket as well, has basically zero downsides versus the older one.
With all that in mind, I can honestly say that my 3DS may make a greater competitor for gameplay time versus my Switch than I would have originally imagined.
