Literally charge your balls and peek corners and hit heads. Send purple balls out and positioning. Positioning. Positioning. Always try to position yourself in the best possible spot for engagements since you’re generally the first target. It’s all situational and map dependant is I won’t get into that. Actually heal? Yeah heal and stuff

Always ALWAYS keep your orbs up. They help charge your ult. Don’t be afraid to use your ult if you’re about to die cause it’s easy to charge. Stick with a tank but don’t be afraid to get in the thick of it and RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IF YOU SEE A SOMBRA

Make sure to use charge shots quiet often and lead your target to endure most hit and call out discords so your team can focus that person evetytime you just throw a discord call out even if on them for just a second. Damage is the fastest way to his ult and he's a dps healer more so keep your orbs more on the weaker guys unless your tanks absolutely need it I main Zen playing in master's he's a great healer but more relies on the dps side of his abilities. And listen always listen the best you can when you have your ult to counter. Never dump your ult against dvas or junkrat it'll just go to waste most the time and try to use your ult last against Lucio or another Zen because you'll out time them and still give more heals out timing is a big play with him stay back line as much as you can and if your getting flanked don't try and run go to your team so the can get rid of those pesky flankers

Loads of people struggle to shoot with zen. It all about leading those shots. Try and play with teams with mics to make the best of your ult. someone in the overwatch league managed to get most dps done on his team so it can be done
