An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player gave Zach a pair of glasses that turned him from one of the game's cutest octopuses into a monster. These glasses can be given to any villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but they look even scarier on Zach. Players can prepare enough Animal Crossing Bells in the game.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that very much encourages making friends with the islanders. One of the best ways to do this is for players to give gifts to each villager they meet in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Giving gifts to villages increases the friendship value between the player and the villagers, which leads to higher friendship levels and better rewards. One of the most common reasons for giving gifts to villagers is to dress them up to the player's liking. Most of the time, players will try to dress up their villages to make them look as cute as possible, but sometimes this backfires.
Reddit user PrivateIslandPresent got a nasty surprise when their wife gave Zucker, one of the cutest villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a pair of glasses that turned the once-cute octopus into a beast with big eyes. These are not just any glasses, but a special size called "silly glasses" that can be bought at the Able Sisters store for $770. These goofy glasses are purple and make the eyelids look like the wearer has had 100 cups of coffee.
Zucker is a lazy octopus with a long history of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where he made his debut. He has appeared in all the games since New Leaf and is widely loved in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community. Not only was the wife of the original poster surprised to see Zuko portrayed in such a creepy light, but many of the players in the comments were quite disturbed themselves. Despite one commenter's decision to put silly glasses on all the villages, he now regrets that decision.
Amazingly, an item can turn a cute looking animal into one of the ugliest villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In the close-up photo posted by PrivateIslandPresent, Zach looks even more disturbing. Some of the comments under the clip tried to guess the closest thing to what Zack would look like while wearing the stupid glasses, with one commenter saying the fungus from Monster Power and another replying to Steve Buscemi. Surprisingly, no one mentioned Dr. Octopus.
