You should pick it up. I really enjoy it even though it is brutal so the update should make it more accessible.

I like the difficulty. But the game hasn't sold enough for the producers to turn a profit. If an easier mode means more people buy it then that's a good thing IMO because they worked hard on it and did a great job.
