Total newbie at this retro pc building!! Have a ram issue I think, I have what I believe to be 2x 1 gb sticks of ram but my system will only recognise 1gb?

P4 3.0 ghz
Msi p4mam2-v board
Radeon 9550

Any advice???

I would guess its a 1gb kit so 2 x 512mb sticks, can you post a photo showing the text on the chips?

Maybe one of them wasn't fully inserted? Can you try another slot?
