Although Sony made a deal with Disney in 2015 to allow Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the former studio still retains the overall movie rights to characters from the webslinger's comic books. As a result, a series of spin-off Spidey movies are in the works, the first of which is this year's Venom.
The first official image from the film has now been released. It shows star Tom Hardy as photographer Eddie Brock; it's not the most exciting image, and we're yet to see the titular alien symbiote who takes him over. Nevertheless, it's good to see something official released, following the
