QLED and OLED are TV technologies, they're just finally starting to put them in monitors like this one. This is one of the first QLED monitors i've come across

QLED isn't really a new technology, rather than a refinement of LCD. It still uses LCD's fundamental tech. It's not like OLED, which is an entirely different technology that offers direct view of the pixel. OLED offers better picture quality than QLED. QLED is cheaper to manufacture though, which is why Samsung is going forward with it instead of OLED for HDTV's. LG has some VERY nice OLED TV's that have quite simply been called "the best HDTV's ever reviewed" by some of the most respected sources.

So I'll be MUCH more excited to see OLED PC monitors when they come along.
