SOME HELP NEEDED

So I have just upgraded my late 2013 MacBook Pro to a 2017 model. Please don't turn this into a Mac versus windows debate please, I own both, I just want some assistance if possible.

My late 2013 MacBook was a max spec with a 1tb SSD. I could sell it but its subject to stagnate and would probably need some TLC from apple to make it worth selling for some extra cash. my question is...

Does anyone know the model or type of SSD used in the MacBooks? Are they proprietary to Apple or is it at all possible for me to remove it and somehow use it as an SSD in my main gaming rig for the extra storage?
