So i have watched a few youtube videos but im scared to mess this up. How do you jump between servers without losing a character?

It's random

Just make sure you don't make a new character on that server and you should be fine. Always press download character. Otherwise its kind of a random thing

you always run the risk of losing your character when transferring. but it's rare.

it is not safer or more reliable to move from map to map within a cluster ??

Upload at a ob, you will see where it says transfer character in the middle between the inventories.

Go to ob, take all items off dinos including saddles (that's how it always was. If that's been changed I am unaware) dinos (since I last played ) can not transfer items in their inventory. Access ob. Upload dinos in range of ob, then. Upload character. Choose new server. Hit upload character (i believe) choose survivor. Make your way to ob or drop. Download dinos, they will appear withing range of ob.
