The lower the better... They start to sound crappy as they are moved up towards head level... And yes, crappy is the correct technical term

I mean i have it raised underneath the table its on the bottom part of my table at my feet but the whole desk starts shaling when the bass kicks in

Floor, they are meant to go on the floor they cause vibration and if it’s on the table it will vibrate the table

Ideally as low and far away as you can get it. Face the speaker towards the wall, they always sound better bouncing sound off of something instead of facing you directly. If the port is facing you its fine.

if you want your table to vibrate annoyingly, sure. But subwoofers belong on the floor
