I can't think of a single situation where it's the best option frankly.

The cost is too high compared to the cheapest gtx1050 which is much better value for gaming (even if you have to spend a little more), or equally, a 2nd hand older GPU if your power supply can handle it (say gtx960).

If its strictly for an HTPC or office pc, then an older or 2nd hand is probably going to provide the same function for cheaper..

550 just because if you get an apu dual graphics will make performance so well the boost will be dramatic compared to a 1030. i was thinking of buying a 1030 myself but i got a 550 instead.
