I just bought splatoon 2 . Really want to use voice chat. Is this contraption any good? Can i plug in my own headphones into the adapter(arrow shaped thing this comes with ) to use voice chat?

dont buy into this not really worth all the hassle just get a discord going with some players on your phone

That thing is horrendous and is a novelty only. I sort of regret buying mine. But since its also an in game thing, I just put it on my shelf.

But yeah, skype, facebook messenger and discord are all better options.

Yes. I tried it with my Xbox One headset and it worked.

If you really want to hear game and voice chat through the same headphones you could find a cheaper splitter, or just use the one that comes with this setup and discord. I wouldn't suggest using the Switch app until it's officially released and they make some changes.
