I heard rumors that if you keep your switch docked it can overcharge it lowering your battery power much faster if you keep it docked is that true ?

Just like any device, they all have a battery cycle. You shouldn't overcharge it to avoid it dieing slightly quicker over time.

Most electronic devices these days can’t be overcharged. They stop charging as soon as they’re full.

No. Mine has been docked since day 1. Recently started to use it in hand held quite a bit. Lasts a Long time
