Honest opinions, should i give it a little time and sell my msi gtx 1070 gaming x to upgrade to a 1080 ot ti? Are 1070s going to be the new rx480 replacement?

If you're after 4k gaming, then sure.. go for a 1080ti.
If you're 1080p or 1440p... the 1070 is fantastic.

Well Im running most of my games at 4k ultra and high with my 1070, currently get atleast 60fps on outlast 2,getting 80 fps with high settings on AndromedA and atleast 60 fps on tekken 7 at ultra 4k,also ocing closes the gap btw the 1070 and 1080 even more.

Also sli 1070s are better than a 1080ti, so if you do upgrade then it's pointless going to a 1080, rather a 1080ti

You're fine for now unless you absolutely want 4k but honestly just wait for decent 4gpu to appear that will be sooner than you can think.

To get 60fps maxed out in all games at 1440p you need a 1080 atleast.

i almost went for the 1080ti, but i dont wanna be that guy who invests every upgrade so i bought the 1080 and ill grab the high end card from the next range and leave it at that for a couple of yrs
