Hi,

Just got a 8700k and coming from a delid 4790k I'm quite surprised by the Temps.

Is 70 degrees normal on a game like assassin creed origin?

I'm running a real bench right now and it reached 79 degrees...

Well I plan to delid pretty soon if I get a drop by 15/20 degrees it will be awesome. But I was wondering if those temps are normal

Thanks.

Other question.

is it better to leave vcore on auto or set it up fixed? I use to run my vcore fixed but i'm not sure its the way to do.

thanks

Yup, you need to delid to drop those temps. Intel paste they use is junk

Its normal. I have 8700k aswell and temps can easily get 70 plus depending on your cooling, they overclock like tanks tho and anything below 90 is generally safe if its not there 24/7

I get a relatively low vcore for say 5ghz myself, i can make it at 1.315v without avx workloads. Temps get pretty damn high tho but its stable. I wouldnt head past 1.35v myself but 1.4v is considered doable.

You can leave on auto since it wont spike very high anyway and auto is generally low vcore at stock.

ok will do that, i set it up at 1.2 but maybe auto will be better.

And what about adaptive?
