Hi, I need some advise.
I'm trying to connect my NES classic mini to a computer monitor and external speaker set. I purchased a separate hdmi to VGA+audio adapter (see picture), but the adapter doesn't work.
When I connect the adapter the NES power light turns off. Also when I connect my PS4 to the adapter the screen gives message "check video cable".
Question: what type of adapter do you use to connect the hdmi output to computer monitor with VGA and sepatare 3.5 audio connection?
appreciate your help.

NES and SNES mini only put out 720p, The monitor must support 720p or your adapter must be able to put out alternate Resolutions, Also if you are trying to use a CRT VGA monitor the stock games will look squished as the stock games do not support stretching, Onlly moded Mini's with games set to Retroarch will support 4:3 monitors
