Hey guys I need a bit of help as I’ve never done this before and don’t want to buy the wrong thing, I’ve recently just bought this monitor from gumtree as I wanted to see if I could connect it to my laptop and run 2 screens, the problem is I don’t have a VGA port (or atleast I think that’s what it is) on my laptop and only have a HDMI which the monitor dosnt support as shown in the picture, I was looking at a VGA - HDMI cable to compensate for it but It kept saying it was for audio or video projection for a projector, I didn’t want to buy it just yet Incase I was getting the wrong thing and thought I’d ask you guys here for some help, thanks in advance guys

it looks like you have a dvi port on that monitor, you can get adapters or hmdi to dvi cables. which i use for my monitor and have no problems.

check carefully my laptop had a plastic flip door covering vga out port
