Yeah I liked it more than ps3 due to the exclusives. As for online, might as well ask your friends first what they use. If most play on playstation then it might be better to get ps3 if you plan on playing online a lot. But then the current gen console might be a better option.

I mean you can pick up tons of games for cheap that are still a blast today.

My brother and I still go back to pay army of two, halo, and such every once and a while

You can probably get one for cheap these days. Buy it if you're a fan of the exclusives (gears of war 2 and 3, halo 3, etc.)
