this happened to mine about a week ago except the screen was red instead of purple and its not done it since, i took the overclock off my pc just incase it was down to that but not sure atall what caused it .

friend of mine had this problem when he's installing windows 10. it froze just like this right before its enter installation menu

I've had this happen multiple times but mine was usually red. I RE seated everything and uninstalled and reinstalled graphics driver and hasn't happened since
