Yes. Ram speed matters. For games. Definitely. Doubly so for RyZen, but any modern build not strictly limited by budget should spend the tiny amount extra for faster ram speeds, without question.

People saying no are like people saying that quad cores are enough to be the best for gaming. They were mostly correct a couple years ago, save for a few exceptions shining the light on the future ... and now they're just wrong.
