honestly...i think every vendor/company does this....clothing retailers are the biggest scammers, and in reality that is how they get people to fall for "special" or "sale" prices. they mark up the original price, and then give you their "special/sale/discounted" price, and sometimes its marginal, while others make a bigger dent....but this is outrageous lol...they could have at least tried to make it seem reasonable lmao
