I didn't really like the Steam controller. Do you own an XB1 or PS4? Whichever one of those you own, get one of those controllers and the bluetooth USB dongle. If you don't own a console at all, go for an XB1 controller (more ergonomic than the 360 one) simply so you don't need to remember that the X button is actually the Square button on the Dualshock lol.

Either a Wired 360 controller or an Xbox One controller would be the way to go. If possible get the Xbox One S controller as it can connect wireless to the PC through Bluetooth if you have it.

Xbox one is definitely miles ahead of 360's controller. The xbone controller is much more responsive, the sticks feel "tighter" (more precise), and ergonomically much nicer to hold

I have Xbox one controller and wireless adapter,very comfortable to use.id considered the steam controller but it seems better suited to games I'd normally just use the mouse and keyboard for.
