its because of the new turret setting

you can now set them to only target the rider so turtle sieging is not as good now

you have always been able to set them to shoot the riders only. it jsut people have been to stupid to do it until now.

You can still tank with turtles just drop them by turrets without rider and once theyre low health whistle them out

Because of update 265 that will be coming out when the turret targets player only it actually hits the player.. stegosaurus plates block the bullets to some degree. Turtle riders only got shot if at the correct angle if the turrets were shooting down at the turtle prior to the coming update.

So Charles Mcdonald it is new they modified the turret targeting system updated it to actual player targeting
