What's the best way for me to host my own server to play with a friend? Would I use a app like Hitachi or evolve or is there a much simpler way? For pc

Try Arkservers.io they have a very user friendly system

if your just doing you and your friend just do local. the server is only up when the host is on but it's ideal for just 2 people
