J Johnathan Marsh Guest Aug 15, 2017 #17 First off, is this a store bought HP , Dell or something? You need to consider the PSU. Check the PSU to make sure you've got connectors to power a newer GPU. If not, you should be looking for a GPU that doesn't require additional power cables.
