So my switch un docked when i got it only lasted 40 min so i sent it to Nintendo just got it back played Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and now it last 2.5 hours should i send it back again or is it the game killing the battery

Yeah, my Switch usually lasts for 2.5-3 hours while playing Breath of the Wild. That battery time is normal.

Unless you have a decent portable charger that lets you play and charge play it in table top mode battery lasts twice as long when you pair them to joy cons or pro controller
