I've mentioned this in comments before, but have never actually posted about it. It has me stumped. When I first turn on my computer, before post the fans flicker on and off and make a clicking sound. (Before you ask, it is not a hdd issue. I have tried booting with hdds unplugged.) This only happens when my displayport cable is plugged in.

I have a gigabyte gtx 1070 GPU and an evga (g3 I think) modular 650watt power supply.

whats making the clicking sound? can you tell?

Probably the fans clicking on and off, or a relay in the PSU.
