I've got a question for everyone! Building a new server soon, and I'm looking at an Xeon E-5 1620 v3 and an ASRock X99 Extreme4 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 mobo
The mobo supports Xeon processors and registered ECC RAM
My Question is:
Do all Xeons support ECC Registered (buffered) RAM? I Can't seem to find much info on registered/unregistered support with Xeons, so I assume they all do support it, but I want to make sure.

Pretty sure they all do, especially the ones on 2011 sockets (which I think are all E5 or better)

what's the purpose of it, yourself or business oriented? cuz if it's for yourself, you might be better going a gen or 2 back, a used xeons are cheap as hell, or go with a consumer or an HEDT chip...
