It isn't. I upgraded my i3 4130 to an i5 4570 like 3 weeks ago. I must say, its worth the upgrade. With my i3 i got constant drops in fps in games due the lack of cores on games such as GTA V. Even the less demanding games were affected by the fps drops. An upgrade to an i5 not only boosted my FPS, but also made by gameplay more enjoyable as I get a stable framerate. I got my i5 4570 for 95 euros which is like 83-85 pounds. I have a 750 Ti atm and I do love it. But I am still going to get a 1060 very soon.

Why not go pentium G4560 ?. Its prettymuch perform almost identically. it has newer socket and series.
