I'm new to BOTW and I'm doing the 4 shrine paraglider mission. How do I get the winter clothes or the spicy food so I don't freeze trying to get to the last shrine.

Grab a torch and have it on fire and you'll be good

cook up any spicy food, more ingredients that are spicy the better, but don't mix them with anything that has different resistance

these are spicy peppers near the entrance of the snow area and there is a cooking pot near by also , just cook the spicy peppers and youll get food that will keep you warm

As others have said u don't have to wear cold resistant clothes. U can have a weapon that is on fire or fire elemental weapon equipped, or cook spicy food. The easiest being cooking when u have little to work with in the beginning
