I bought the extra parts for my 2008 retro PC! Can't wait until I get them in the mail and I'm going to put this one together. I was deciding between a 2004-2008 PC, I already have a retro PC in the lower range which is an Athlon 64 3000+ (Socket 754) with a ATI Radeon x850 Pro 256 Mb AGP, so I decided to go with 2008 parts. Also the fact that 2008 was 10 years ago, a computer from back then is still somewhat modern or useable today compared to most of the older Retro PCs we build. The PSU I bought is a Seasonic, I always wanted to own a Seasonic power supply since my second job working at an electronics store in 2006.
The Seasonic PSU is modern and I think it's better than the PSU in my modern PC haha. I only bought one 9800 GTX+ for now but I'm planning on adding another one soon for SLI.

Seasonic X-750 750 Watt Power supply, modular
ECS Elitegroup K8m890M 1.0A *Socket AM2 )
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor (Dual core, 2.6 GHz)
1 GB DDR2 667 (Upgrading to 4 GB DDR2 800)
EVGA Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512 Mb PCI-E
still need to buy the hard drive and/or ssd
Windows 7
