I’m tired of people acting like they know EVERYTHING and shitting on people so I’m asking WIDOW MAINS in Plat or higher... which maps are absolutely no-no’s for Widowmakers? Obviously higher tiers can technically make her work on any map... but for gold and lower, which maps do you feel are very weak Widow maps and should be avoided?

I was grinding the arcade loot boxes and in one match of 3v3, I was paired up with this duo that had one person always picking sniper heros like widow/hanzo/ana and jesus that person was a beast, but then in the next game I was paired against them and we got destroyed by him like jesus he was a rly good sharpshooter.

Its not about your rank, its about your skill. Most lower ranks are inconsistent at best, they could hit 4 head shots in a row then miss everyone for 5 games. If you cant consistently play a hero then you shouldnt be playing it in comp. if everyone is playing a hero they can play well majority of the time (even gms have off games) then thats the key. Widow is viable on most maps in the right hands, who can aim, and perhaps more importantly, know the map inside out for health packs and locations.

I’d imagine any CotH map that isn’t Ilios Well or Ruins. I’ve seen some successful Widows on Nepal Sanctum. I think payload/hybrid maps support her best as well as most 2cp. Also dependent on the enemy team comp

Shes viable everywhere, but KotH maps will always be more difficult. Regardless of map, if youre being dove constantly you need to swap.

-most of the escort of kings row up to the first check point.. it just works for me on the last bit, just before the check point
-anubis second point
-ilios in general...
-last point of dorado
-first point of eichenwelde
-li gian?... jiean?... china... in general
On defense
-lunar first point
-kings row mid point until they reach the checkpoint... from there is just a blockade from roof to roof
-anubis second point
-ilios...
-china...

Widow can be used on just about any map. its all in how you position yourself. Now the only time it gets really annoying is when you're against a double shield and your team wont rush them even when they're all clumped behind the shield scared to get head shot lol.
