How many Wyverns is too many Wyverns? I'm on single player, so they are of virtually no use to me, yet I still find myself wanting more high level Wyverns. Trying to find interesting colors. Can wilds breed mutations in vanilla?

They can't. And i would say like 2-3 of each element.

Depends. Wild dinos cap at 150 other than cave critters and wyverns. I think the wild Wyvs cap at 196 in my game. Wild cave creatures can get up to 450, I believe.

Dino cap is the limit on how many tames one person or one tribe can have at one time. Is there even a cap on single player?
