This is a good Intel build. The I3 does better if your mostly gaming.

Choice between 1050 and 1050 Ti just depends on however much you want to spend.
The little bit extra cash that you fork out on the 1050 Ti for what little extra performance you get doesn't warrant getting it over the 1050.

No OS though. If you are in the US and have a school email, you can get windows 10 edu for free.

Cpu intensive games, need at least i5 intel cpu. Ryzen 5 series amd. Gtx1050ti minimum gpu.

If you dont mind using older systems, i7 3770/i7 4770 intel cpu. 8gb 1866 ddr3 ram, asrock h77/h87 series motherboard. Gtx1050ti, 1tb hdd. Around 250-350$.

If your budget is 550 I'd go ryzen 8gb of ram, a 1 tb firecuda sshd, evga 450watt PSU and a 1050ti
