Hello fellow switchers. This may be a dumb question, but I've got a galaxy s8, usb c charger. Is there a reason that charger doesn't charge my switch? Like i said, probably a dumb question but i can't seem to figure out why.

Not enough power

It charges just not fast enough to keep up with the drain of using the switch. If you turn it off it will charge slowly.

My Google Pixel charger works fine, but it's slow. Having the screen on and charging is tough, which is why it charges faster in the dock.

Yeah you need a charger/powerbank with a higher output that's all

The Switch has that phat brick. Whereas that charger doesn't. Look at the wattage on both

I have to buy another for when I'm on the go. Sucks having to keep taking it from the dock

Thanks guys. Didn't even think about power output. I figured my quick charger for my s8 would've been sufficient. Clearly not lol
