Hello everyone!! Today I'm doing my first pc build and have everything installed except for the hard drive. There's a 4 pin plug that my power supply's cord for it cannot reach. I was wondering what this is for and if it will be a big problem. Also are there any adapters for a situation like this.?

Maplins sell extensions cheap enough.

If your cpu has an 8 pin then pick up an adapter, but most have both options on them. For me i have a 4 pin male cable connected to a 4 to 8 pin extension and the board works fine.
