Guys I wanted to full clean my PC but don't wanna download my steam library again!
If I transfer it to my external HDD
How will I run the game after the full format ?
PS - never used steam until 2017

Copy everything from the HDD format then when you reinstall steam move everything to the drive then have steam verifie every game

use steammover (free tool) to move them to the external hdd and then use it again to put it back on your pc.

put it in ext hdd. its still take time though, it will discovering installed file. With my 5400rpm ext hdd, its took about 1hour to move 60gb game files xD

just move your library to an external and point the new fresh install to it. problem solved

The more you move game installs between disks, the higher the likelihood that something is going to get corrupted...

i mean if you have a junky drive. but a few moves wont hurt. also steam will validate and resnag anything that has an error
