Going back to the origin story of Sony and Nintendo. Meet the Nintendo PlayStation. This was when Sony and Nintendo were partners. Nintendo helped Sony get into console development and a dispute caused a rift between both companies. Nintendo wanted cartridge, Sony wanted CD. The PlayStation was meant to be an addition to the SNES.
According to sources, Nintendo regrets the decision to this day because of what pushed Sony into the position they're in and because they lost an ally
Interesting history though. Only 200 were made of this prototype
