Destiny 2's newest Mighty Hunter build could single-handedly sink a niche exotic

The Lightfall expansion pack for Destiny 2 is a game-changer in many ways, as Bungie drastically increases the difficulty of the looter shooter while making changes to the Age of the Witch Queen sandbox and adding a new subclass to the form Strand. With an increased emphasis on building craftsmanship and accessibility, Destiny 2 strives to be a game for everyone, and one that players can jump into at any given time--though there are still many obstacles. Still, players are finding ways to make the difficulty changes less difficult by crafting powerful structures, and a new Void Hunter setup is now live online, which could hint at a future nerf to a niche Exotic. Players can prepare enough Destiny 2 Silver in the game.

While the Void has been generally very popular since the Lightfall expansion came out, largely due to the combination of powerful abilities from Season of Defiance and Destiny 2's Artifact mod, Hunters primarily use the Exotic breastplate called Gyrfalcon's Hauberk. However, the new version of Void Hunter uses two less popular Exotics, the Orpheus Rig and the Wish-Ender bow, making Grandmaster Nightfalls a breeze thanks to Shadowshot Deadfall Super's spam. Since this combo makes endgame content trivial, there's a good chance Bungie will do something about it in Season 21—specifically, nerf one of the Exotics.

Destiny 2's new Voidhunter build calls for Wish-Ender's exotic bow

Void Hunters used to be very popular, especially because of the combination of the Orpheus Rig Exotic boots and the Deadfall Super, as the former grants super powers when the player lands Deadfall, binding the target together. The more hits a Super is active while the Super is active, the more Super energy players will be rewarded with, which is true of any situation in Destiny 2. Since the Orpheus Rig Exotic can self-return up to 50% of Super Power, players using it can restore their full Super Power relatively quickly.

However, Destiny 2's Wish-Ender Exotic bow makes this task easier than before, as it's currently one of the weapons that gives the most Super Energy per hit, if not the most. This is because the Wish-Ender bow fires 3 shots each, which is a very powerful boon in the endgame, as people are often forced to peek out of cover once or twice before returning to hide.

Wish-Ender's unique triple-strike arrow then multiplies all enemies bound by Deadfall Super, and when combined with Orpheus Rig boots, it only takes a few hits to fully recharge. Combined with the dense energy orb generation in Destiny 2 after the Lightfall expansion, one could easily use Deadfall Super as often as Hunter Dodge, which is a ridiculous uptime and probably not what Bungie intended. Since nerfing Orbs of Power can't do anything about it, and since Wish-Ender bows are often used for superspawn purposes, it's the bow that is at risk of being nerfed in Season of the Deep.

While the Witch Queen's expansion solidifies Moebius Quiver as endgame content, especially the better Super for Bosses, Deadfall is still very much alive, and it shows the true power of the Hunter's Tether. As such, a nearly game-breaking combo like this likely won't make it to Destiny 2's Season 21, with the most likely outcome being that Bungie will nerf the amount of Super Power that just a tap of the Wish-Ender bow can provide. Even a rare exotic, this curious bow seems about to sink into the treasure trove of every guardian who wields it. For more game guides, please visit
