I've spent most of me time in plat since release, recently gold (never take a season off, kids), but I have a theory based on what I've seen around here:

No rank is any more or less toxic than any other, the type of toxicity and how it manifests itself just changes.

Found gold into plat were really bad especially when you were on the gap just between the ranks
