Couple questions for a new server host. What's the deal with a server cluster? Does this mean a player would have access to two different maps from the same "provider?"

And are there any good places to find PG ark maps?

Yes. I just clustered 3 maps together. Players on my server can now travel between maps with items, dinos, and there player. Same with cluster official. Were still looking for an island map to finish off our cluster. Must be willing to mimic our stats. Game play. Theme. Etc

We just rented a server we was wandering about clusters as well can you cluster with other peoples servers or do you have to rent a second server

You are correct. Password has to be turned off or you won't be able to transfer. Garrett Skaggs yea you can cluster with other people. They just need to give you the cluster ID number if they have one made. 1 sec ill send you a screen shot

I usually just advertise on fb but nitrado has a server list. I'm sure wildcard has a server list. There a few lists out there but I stick to fb and ps4 communities

Ok cause we want to cluster with other pvp servers to have more traffic on the server and we want the feel of official just without the bs

They just give you their cluster id and you can only transfer between those servers

If you wish to retain your password protected status, disable CrossARK between your servers and allow players to upload player data/dinos manually and move that way.

This does open up the possibility of players bringing things from single player, so caution is the watchword. No issues with a trusted community though!
