Considering equipment straight out of the a non-bundle new box, whats the best way to charge the Joycons? Plugging power in straight to the system? Docked and Idle, but on? Docked and Off? Playing in portable mode?

Ive only ever charged them by connecting to the system, either docked or plugged in duilring handheld mode. Works really well for me. Not sure if a charging grip does any better or worse, but knowing Nintendo all options probably work really well.

Only way to charge joycons is while they're attached to switch. Otherwise you'll have to buy a charging grip or station.

Quickest charge would probably be docked and in sleep mpde.
