It's actually not very good, despite what critics claim. There are certain features missing that enhanced the game last year, gone from this year. The AI is bust (just look at Chris Smoove's videos for Hall of Fame difficulty, and this after Visual Concepts claimed that the defense and AI had improved). The companion app is useless as it no longer gives near as much daily VC.

There are still a few bugs and performance issues across platforms, especially with the Switch because Visual Concepts thought it'd be a good idea to use the same engine for five different systems with different architectures (spoiler: it wasn't)

If you want an actual port that does justice, look at what EA did with FIFA 18: they built the Switch version from scratch with a different engine to ensure performance and visual fidelity. 2K and Visual Concepts took the lazy way out.
