Can someone please explain the overtime rule to me? In the middle of a competitive game at 3-3. Escort the payload. The opposing team gets a minute at least of overtime. Then when it’s our turn to escort the payload. Same situation. We had players on the load. But our overtime was shorter

it's the time you got left after finishing escorting the payload

The time you had left after the round ended. If you ended in overtime it's 30 seconds I think to cap

But we didn’t end in overtime. We did the payload with 26 seconds to spare. They did the payload in overtime. So when it did the next round to determine the winner we should have had more time to handle overtime surely

If you finish in overtime you get a minute if you finish with less than a minute you get a minute

On Objectives 4+, the amount of time you get is ALL the time you have. Lets say Kings Row. Lets say you both have a minute. Attackers of the first team capture the point with 26 seconds left, they still only have 26 seconds, time is not added after the capture. You can go into overtime and get it as far as you can, even to the end of the map (I’ve done this a total of one time). Team 2 captures the first point in overtime, same thing. It is still overtime for them to get the payload as far as possible. The overtime timer like on any mode will drain faster the longer you have been in overtime.

If the team is constantly contesting the point, overtime will keep going, but the moment someone steps off the point or dies and no one else is on it, overtimes over.
