Anyone running a 1070 or 1070 ti with 4K or 1440? I got a 4k monitor for Christmas. I currently have a 1060.
So I’m playing on high at 1440p and barely getting 60fps. So I want to upgrade but I don’t really want to get a 1080 right now I’d like to get a cheaper upgrade now and wait until the next gen xx80ti hits to go top end.

4k -> 1080 ti
1440p -> 1070+
1080p > 1060+

144 fps:
1440p -> 1080+
1080p -> 1070+

4k 60 hz is a huge mistake, trust me I made it. 4k 60 hz is TRASH,I have a 4k 60 hz gaming monitor sitting her as my secondary screen becasue I was stupid enough to hear 4k 60 FPS and think that was a good thing.

Lol I did my homework. I wanted 2k 144hz but my wife bought me a 4k 60hz. It’s not a big deal to me and from my post you can see I want a cheaper card now and that I will get the next generation XX80i next year for proper 4K gaming.

It is a huge difference 1080p 144hz over 4k 60. Frame rate is way more important then resolution.I use my MG28UQ to test my builds and 60 hz is terrible after playing at 100+FPS. 4k is a total marketing trick to fool people into spending more money on hardware.
