Those are pack leaders. Certain pack animals (dire wolves, Allosaurus, hyaenas, etc) grant a bonus to the highest level animal in their pack

Why don't raptors have alphas too every time their is one raptor their is sure to be 1-4 more.

They arent you generic alphas.... they are pack leaders. Highest level and stongest of the pack usually in allos and hyenadons... they are tamable but will lose that flame instantly... will get it back if you have 2 or more tamed....
