We anticipate season 1 starting on Arks Official Launch day of Aug 28th!
Season 1 setup: Server vs Server
The first two servers that go live will be The Center and The Island. These will be considered the home servers for each team. One team will set up on the Island and the other on The Center. The objective of this game it to capture the opposing servers obelisks while defending your own. A third server will be established on Ragnarok that will be the battlegrounds between the two home worlds. The home worlds will have very little in the way of resource boosts or taming and the majority of your farming will need to be done in the dangers of Ragnarok where the resource harvesting and taming levels will be boosted. If one team, Island or Center manages to capture and hold the obelisks of the opposing team for 24 hours, the season will end. This puts the next wipe date in the hands of the players.
We are still kicking around some of the rules to make sure that everything works as planned, but here is a basis of what you can expect. Center and Island will be the home worlds with very sparse dino populations and low levels. It wont be worth your time hunting dinos on these servers. The gathering rate and xp rates on these servers will be vanilla with very few additions. Breeding will be boosted. These servers will be protected by the no wipe no passive killing rules. Griefing is not allowed on these servers EXCEPT at the obelisks.
Ragnarok will have a boosted gather rate and dino limit making it the ideal place to go farm your resources and tame dinos.This server is a no holds barred anything goes PvP server. Full base wiping and passive dino killing are allowed. Griefing is allowed anywhere on this server. This server should be as hard core as it gets. One main alliance will be established per home world and that alliance will also be carried over to the Ragnarok server. If your tribe wishes to participate in the game, then you will need to join your home tribes alliance on both your home world and the ragnarok servers. If you think about the larger MMOs this alliance would be like your faction. If you choose not to participate in the defense of your home world, then your tribe is subject to annihilation and not protected by the server rules, however you are still required to follow the no passive killing or full wipe rules. It would be wise to take part in the defense games. Homeworld alliance members should figure out amongst themselves who is in charge in their alliance and setup your own internal rules and action accordingly.
Admins will be playing as well and admin logging WILL be enabled.
