A bit confused. I know nothing about these 144hz monitors people rave about. I'm only on a sony t.v. 60hz. Am I right in saying that I'll need to make 144fps to make the most of it? Will my fps go up using one of these monitors.
I run a gtx1060 and I don't believe I ever see 144fps in any game I play

144hz is not worth it on a 1060 cause you wont reach 144fps in %95 of games, the only games you really could get 144fps off the top of my head is CSGO and dota 2

don't forget that there is some games programmed to get limited fps . such as 60fps or 30fps

dont forget, its not all about the graphics card. i have a turbo 1080 and a amd x4 880k chip and i struggle to get 60 on low settings because of the cpu. whatever graphics card u get make sure u dont get a bottleneck on the cpu

A 1060 6gb barrly pushes 90fps in most modern games and if you use a TV and have no issue with it then go with it
