NVMe if you already have a mass storage unit.

Id do the 1tb evo ssd, the NVME is only going to help if your editing files off your drive alot. ive played with a 1tb 960evo (nvme) and it wasnt any faster than my 850 evo m.2 that I could tell.

m.2 nvme. Sata is for peasants.

I would just live with taking a couple of more seconds and go with the 1tb lol

I needed both, a 500GB NVMe and a 4TB HDD

Personally I went with a 250g 960evo m.2 for my os and 2 500g Samsung 850evo in raid 0 for storage. My pc is so fast it boots up before I can sit down or load a game before I can get my headphones on.

But if I were you I would go with the nvme m.2 because when you get more money you can get another ssd for more storage

Well the difference I've noticed is Sata ssd is like a 10~15 second startup, but since I've now put in a PCI nvme I get like 1~2 second startup. So I'd say it's worth it if you have a PCI slot for it.

The NVMe M.2 is irrelevant if all you're doing is gaming.
It's there for content creators because of it's high transfer speeds.

The startups, load times, and launch times would only be 1 or 2 seconds faster with NVMe M.2, and SATA 3 SSD is cheaper.

But that varies based on which SATA SSD and NVMe SSD you're comparing, with some SATA SSDs actually booting more quickly than NVMe SSDs.

That being said.... you should go with a SATA 3 SSD instead of an NVMe M.2. You'll never need NVMe M.2 for gaming.

Only reason some gaming laptops use them as boot drives is because of how small they are.

Here are some benchmarks to prove how little difference they make.

If you're only doing gaming and surfing web the ssd is more than enough

Easy, ask yourself, you want capacity or just performance
