looking for a new monitor.
24inches is fine. id rather keep it at 24 so i can afford things like gsync (if needed) and 144hz and 1440p

any suggestions or wait a little longer?

You won't get 144fps at 1440p with a 1070, stick whit a 1080p 144hz monitor

I picked up a Dell SR27DG, 1440P, 144hz, gsync for 270 on ebay.
I don't expect to get 144hz on any game if I'm doing 1440p.

You will not want g sync. At higher refresh rates it is known to cause some serious input lag, obviously if you only play casual/single player games it doesn’t matter to much but for competitive/multiplayer you will notice and get annoyed. You could get it and then disable it though
